Tails of Boston is owned and operated by Heather Gay. Heather lives with her husband Bruce and a rescued greyhound named Ceylon. For many years they have volunteered as foster parents with Greyhound Options to help local Greyhounds find their forever homes. To date they have fostered over twenty greyhounds who have all been placed in wonderful homes in the Boston area. Having worked so closely with foster dogs and now caring for Boston’s South End’s pets for over eight years, Heather realizes all the benefits pet companionship can provide. She also understands the demands that a career can put on our schedules having worked for the majority of my career in the corporate world of insurance and finance. Heather firmly believes the quote by author Roger A. Caras, “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole“.
Thanks for visiting and we hope to meet you and your four-legged friends soon.
Linzy lives with her husband and two rescued ferrets named Bonny & Clyde. Growing up she cared for many dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, aquatics, and even marsupials. Her family bred basset hounds and she has had lots of experience with puppies and their issues from newborn to housing in their forever homes. Linzy performed her community service hours at the Jacksonville Human Society, caring for the animal residents, cleaning cages, and giving tours to prospective adopters. She is looking forward to caring for your pets.
